Learn, Grow, Thrive in 2025: AAP Edmonton’s Administrative Professionals Conference

The Edmonton Branch is hosting the 2025 National AGM and Conference in Edmonton on June 5 & 6, 2025!

The event will take place at the Doubletree by Hilton West Edmonton. Day 1 includes an all-day professional development workshop, followed by an awards banquet, and the morning of Day 2 is the National annual general meeting.

The Executive Committee is working on the details, and we will share more here and on our social media channels when we have them confirmed.

Call for Speakers/Experiences

We are looking for enthusiastic speakers and/or experience providers to engage our attendees through informative, interactive, and interesting content. Potential speakers can view our call for speakers and submit a proposal.

Call for Sponsors

We are also seeking sponsors/partners for the National AGM and Conference! Sponsorship at a variety of levels is available; refer to our call for sponsors package. Email us at [email protected] if you’d like to get involved!

Recruiting for Vacant Positions

The Acting Past President position is currently vacant, and reach out if you’re looking for a lighter role to test the waters of getting involved! We will also be starting to recruit for positions that will be vacant at our branch AGM next year. Contact us at [email protected] if interested.

The AAP and its branches are volunteer-run, and we need our members to be able to keep the branch operating.

  • December 12, 2024 – Holiday social event: CrankPots pottery painting. Registration will be available soon!
  • January 7, 2025 – Branch event with speaker
  • February 4, 2025 – Branch event with speaker
  • March 4, 2025 – Branch event with speaker
  • April 8, 2025 – Branch annual general meeting
  • May 6, 2025 – Branch event
  • June 5-6, 2025 – 2025 National AGM and Conference, hosted by the Edmonton Branch, at the Doubletree by Hilton West Edmonton
    • June 5 – Full-day professional development workshop, followed by a banquet in the evening (open to members and non-members)
    • June 6 – National Board’s annual general meeting (open to members only)

Community Support

AAP branches across Canada provide community support through volunteer opportunities and/or monetary donations to assist local groups/charities. In March 2023, we volunteered at Edmonton’s Food Bank. We bagged potatoes and helped to build food hampers, and we contributed 6 cumulative hours of time. We also donated the registration fees ($60) for the event to the Food Bank.

Support has previously been provided to WIN House and Suit Yourself.
